Central Oregon Association of Real Estate Inspectors (COAREI)
Until July 1, 1998, the home inspection industry in Oregon was unregulated. Inspectors weren’t tested for competency, and there were no established standards. That changed when the State of Oregon began certifying home inspectors and enforcing minimum requirements to ensure thorough, competent inspections for homebuyers and sellers.
But for a group of local inspectors, the minimum wasn’t enough.
We formed the Central Oregon Association of Real Estate Inspectors (COAREI) to raise the bar. Our mission is to “improve and promote the education and professionalism of Real Estate Inspectors” and to foster a better understanding of our profession within the community.
COAREI is a state-approved provider of continuing education for home inspectors, helping ensure that our members stay informed, skilled, and committed to excellence.
Choosing the Right Home Inspector
Choosing a home inspector can be challenging. Unlike most professionals, you typically won’t meet your inspector until the day of the inspection. On top of that, inspectors vary in their qualifications, experience, tools, reporting styles, and pricing.
In the end, the quality of your home inspection comes down to one thing: the individual inspector’s effort.
When you choose a member of the Central Oregon Association of Real Estate Inspectors (COAREI), you can trust that you’re hiring someone who takes that responsibility seriously. If you honor one of our members with the opportunity to inspect your home, we guarantee they will give you their very best work.
